This editor will also assist in determining style guidelines, writing headlines and article summaries, and preparing material for publication on our website. The ideal candidate is hard-working, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, politically savvy and kind.

Electronic Publishing Intern

Truthout is seeking an electronic publishing intern to learn about and assist in our daily news production under the guidance of our editors. In this 3 to 6 month paid internship position, you will strengthen your publishing skills and learn the ropes of an online newsroom.

Applicants should have good basic computer skills and a familiarity with the use of social media. Applicants should be college students or recent graduates with excellent editing and writing skills, a love of politics and a strong interest in online publishing.

The Electronic Publishing Intern is expected to work 20 hours per week and will receive a stipend of $870 per month plus a cell phone and internet stipend. This is a work-from-home position, and applicants are welcome from anywhere in the United States. People of color, women, queer and gender-nonconforming people are encouraged to apply.
