Alyce Santoro

Alyce Santoro is a scientist turned conceptual artist and environmental activist. She is best known as the inventor of Sonic Fabric, a textile woven from audiocassette tape. She is co-proprietor of The Obvious Observer homesteading blog, and established the USE HALF NOW Campaign  and the Kombucha Party  on Facebook. For four years, she was a seagoing oceanographic research assistant on the GLOBEC Project.
