BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

"GEORGE W. BUSH, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: Imagine this. We're in the middle of a war on terror. And one of the most fundamental fights is in Iraq. And ... the Democrats have no plan for victory. They have no idea how to win." And now after three and a half years of continued fighting, and one failure after the other, it's painfully obvious, neither do you, George Bush! Seems to me you started this fight in Iraq, didn't finish the one in Afghanistan, and you certainly have not accomplished the mission!

* * *

To all those who think Bush is the best thing to happen to America since apple pie, to all those who think the Repuglicans are better for America's "safety and security"----THINK AGAIN! "Government posted secret Iraqi papers ... The Bush administration did so under pressure from congressional Republicans ... The documents, the experts say, constitute a basic guide to building an atom bomb." Welcome to the world of chicken-hawk, arm-chair, pseudo-warriors, and welcome to the Bush world of incompetence, ineptitude, and stupidity! A world that is now more dangerous than ever before, thanks to George Bush and the entire administration, from top to bottom a bunch of lunk-heads so interested in cheating the American taxpayer out of every last cent these "crooks" can get their greedy little fingers on, they forget about and/or overlook everything else! Then again was this really a bungled oversight, or was it an intentional invitation for bin Laden to strike again, was it because the Repuglicans need some action to win an election?

"Since Labor Day, 91% of the ads from the National Republican Congressional Committee for House candidates have been negative, while 81% of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ads have been negative. The report said that while both sides have been negative, there have been marked differences in tone, with Republicans 'hitting below the belt.' ... 'What stood out [in the Republican ads] was a pronounced tendency to be petty and personal and sometimes careless with the facts,' the report said. ...The group said the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ads are also negative but generally attack Republicans on policy rather than personal issues." "Careless with the facts" -- code words for LIES; "petty and personal" -- code for SPITEFUL, MEAN and NASTY; "hitting below the belt" -- code for A KICK IN THE GROIN, A MALICIOUS ATTACK! Yessirree bobtail, those Repuglicans are all about negative, nasty, scandal, and lies! No substance, just felonious spin, empty rhetoric and outright lies, Repuglicans are indeed a cancer on this country that has grown bigger and metastasized since Nixon's reign! It leaves us with a prognosis that is deadly!

The Repuglicans will never apologize---these are the same guys who said a few grunts were the only ones responsible for Abu Ghraib, even though Bush and Cheney with Alberto Gonzales' help changed the rules and negated the Geneva Conventions on torture and abuse. Now it's the Generals who are being blamed for the failures in Iraq! There always has to be a scapegoat for Repuglicans, they will never accept responsibility for their actions and/or inactions, for their mistakes, for their incompetence, for their cover-ups, for their corruption, for their failures!!! They will even eat their own, if necessary, to save their sorry behinds, and John Boehner is right up there playing that blame game. Remember the Hastert, Reynolds, Foley scandal, Boehner hopped right on that, "not me, I didn't do it", bandwagon! Now he's implying that Rumsfeld is the greatest thing to happen to war since WWII! God help us all!

A very dear friend of mine, who happens to be gay, told me some years back, that the general public would never believe the identities of a number of well known married men with families, in communities all over America, who have had "closeted" gay affairs! How sad for these men that they've had to hide the truth in order to fit into a biased societal concept! How sad for society that these men have very loudly and very publicly condemned others in an effort to hide the truth about themselves!

"Subject: Laura Bush takes a cheap shot -- Laura Bush accused Michael J. Fox of 'manipulating feelings' by using his Parkinson's Disease to promote stem cell research." I am a firm believer in the universal principle that "what goes around comes around," and all I can say for this bunch of compassionless, opportunistic, coldhearted, politico-fascists is LOOK OUT! Whenever the Repuglicans, including Rush Limbaugh and Laura Bush along with the rest of them, cruelly and viciously criticize the infirmed, I am reminded of the death of King Herod and remember that "what goes around" eventually "comes around"!

* * *

It's encouraging to know that some of those "used to be" ardent Bush backers have finally realized what the rest of us have known for such a long time! "Sullivan said the president was ‘so in denial' ... It suggests this man has lost his mind. No one objectively could look at the way this war has been conducted ... and say that it has been done well. It's a disaster." If only they had seen the truth from the very beginning, perhaps it would have saved some innocent lives!

* * *

Interesting how the radical religious Repuglicans judge humankind! Interesting how they pick and choose scripture to fit their personal political philosophy! Last I heard, the "Bible" says that Jesus said, "Judge not lest ye be judged"! Too bad these guys don't read all the words in the Bible; there are some who would believe it blasphemous that they, the Repuglicans, cherry pick the ideology to suit their specific political purposes!!!

"REP. JOHN HOSTETTLER (R), INDIANA: Well, the homosexual agenda is expanding, for example, so-called -- expanding discrimination to another area of -- in my opinion, of chosen behavior." Err, in case you haven't noticed Rep. Hostettler, the expansion seems to be occurring in the Repuglican party these days! And in case you didn't know, homosexuality is no more a "chosen behavior" than is heterosexuality! "Choice" is the erroneous assumption of you bigoted stuffed shirts who feign piety. You idiot!
