Momentum is moving quickly in the Senate to pass the Graham-Cassidy ACA repeal bill. With just one hearing and virtually no debate, senators are working hard behind the scenes to gather the 50 votes needed for a bill that is potentially a bigger threat and more damaging than the previous repeal efforts.
After staging hunger strikes and work stoppages for over three years, detainees at an immigrant jail in Washington State won a victory this week when the state attorney general filed a lawsuit against the private company running the jail for paying detainees to work for as little as $1 a day.
