Truthout Radio with Michael Lerner: the Caring Society

Sunday, 18 November 2012 14:57 By Ted Asregadoo and Rabbi Michael Lerner, Truthout Radio | Radio Interview

Ted Asregadoo from Truthout.org and Rabbi Michael Lerner from Tikkun Magazine discuss an op-ed piece Michael wrote for Truthout -- which highlights the Obama Administration, "The Caring Society," and the Environmental and Social Responsibility Amendment (ESRA) to the US Constitution. Overall though, Michael Lerner makes the case that liberals and progressives need to articulate exactly what they stand for in order to move the country (and the world) away from militarism, self-interested individualism, and greed toward another set of ideals that emphasize compassion, community, and generosity.
