The AIDS epidemic in Africa is one of the most callous examples of how the concept of profit before people has risen to Genocidal proportions. Pamela Brown’s first segment for the Resistance Report, examines this intersection of Race, Capitalism and medicine drawing on the documentary Fire In the Blood.

Pamela Brown is a columnist for Tidal Magazine, and an organizer with the People’s Investigation of Wall Street. She was a founding member of Strike Debt and the Rolling Jubilee. She holds her undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Dartmouth College, a Master of Arts in Media Studies from The New School, and is currently a doctoral student in Sociology at The New School for Social Research.
